Compassion

And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. – Jude 22-23

Fundamentalists have earned a reputation of being tough, busting our spiritual brass knuckles on the skulls of liberals. And we are people of the Word. Of course if you ask those on the other side they would say they are people of the Word also. And while we need to stand firm on the Bible and time for fire and brimstone preaching it is compassion that makes a difference. Compassion is word of action and showing mercy on others. We need to be winsome saints showing the love of Christ:

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me –Matthew 25:37-40

Our message will be more effective if we show the love Christ had towards us in action: kind works, a handshake, a smile, do something kind for no apparent reason. Live Christian then speak Christian. Just something to think about.
